Global Responsibility Fund
This Fund targets 250 stocks from around the world. We fully integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into the Fund's investment process, which follows three steps:
1) Exclude companies with revenue from restricted industries (gambling, tobacco, adult entertainment, controversial weapons and thermal coal).
2) Exclude companies with high current controversy levels which may include environmental issues and product recalls.
3) ESG focus: select companies with the highest environmental, social and governance scores
The Fund includes currency management.
Global Water Fund
The Global Water Fund is an ethical and socially responsible fund which invests in 50 to 100 companies that generate income from water related activities. This may include companies that distribute fresh water, treat waste water or manufacture water infrastructure. We won't invest in bottled water companies. The Fund
1) Excludes certain revenue sources
2) Excludes companies with high controversy ratings
3) Seeks to maximise the overall Fund ESG (environmental, social and governance) score.
4) Includes currency management.
Global Property Fund
The Global Property Fund is designed to provide NZ investors with a liquid, diversified and socially responsible global property exposure. The Fund will directly hold between 50 and 100 listed property stocks, including an allocation to New Zealand. Investing in global property delivers much greater diversification across countries, sectors, company sizes, sources of revenue and management styles.
In terms of socially responsible investing, the Fund
1) Excludes certain revenue sources
2) Excludes companies with high controversy ratings
3) Seeks to maximise the overall fund ESG (environmental, social and governance) score
4) Includes currency management
World Equity Fund
The World Equity Fund is designed to be a core and socially responsible global equity exposure. The Fund invests in globally listed exchange traded funds (ETF's) which provide significant diversification. The "look through" underlying exposures will be 500+ stocks from around the globe. In terms of socially responsible investing, we screen out companies that appear on the NZ Super Fund Exclusions List.
The Fund includes currency management.
Commodity Plus Fund
The Commodity Plus Fund invests in a basket of six commodities using commodity futures. Allocations are based on a mean reversion approach - relatively cheap commodities have a heavier weighting, relatively expensive commodities have a lighter weighting. A momentum rule allocates between cash and commodities, intended to reduce the impact of large falls in commodity markets. The Fund can be allocated 100% to commodities, 100% to cash, or can partly allocate to each. In terms of socially responsible investing the Fund does not invest in uranium, coal or the shares of commodity producers.
The Fund includes currency management.
